How to make your own eco confetti from your Freddie's Flowers

How to make your own eco confetti from your Freddie's Flowers

Looking for a fun and eco-friendly way to add some magic to your celebrations? Drying your flowers to create eco confetti is the perfect solution! Instead of letting those gorgeous blooms wilt away, you can turn them into vibrant, biodegradable confetti that’s kind to the planet.

How to:

1. Pick the petals from your Freddie’s bunch after you've enjoyed them in the vase. Avoid petals that are turning brown on the edges as these become very brown once dry.

2. Line a microwave plate with a piece of paper towel.

3. Place the petals onto the paper towel in a single layer. Any overlapping will stick together so give them some space!

4. Cover the layer of petals with a second piece of paper towel.

5. Place the plate in your microwave and heat on high until the petals are no longer damp to the touch. ‘Cook’ for 30 second increments until you find the petals are dry enough.

6. Once dry, store in a sealed container. Keep them in a dark cool place until the time to celebrate!

This delightful DIY project is not only fun and creative, but it’s also a fantastic way to reduce waste and add a touch of nature’s beauty to any event. Whether it's a wedding, birthday, or just because, eco confetti is the perfect way to celebrate in style! We'd love to see any you've made so do share on our social channels if you end up making any!
